Well, it looks like it's finally gonna happen. Dropped my 2+2 off at Woody's garage last Friday. He's got the TT engine prepped and ready to drop in. The engine came out of a '91 TT that was owned by a kid who had a fateful meeting one night with a telephone pole. Car was junk, but engine was good. Woody said compression tested strong across all cylinders. He's replaced all the seals and gaskets and rerouted the PCV so it won't blow smoke at the track.

I've been buying parts for the swap beginning September '05 when i bought Nadir's used turbos. And it added up quickly from there. Got the Jspec bumper a few months later, new engine harness, intercoolers, hard pipes, downpipes, Nismo radiator, Greddy boost controller and turbo timer... lots of little things. Lucky for me, Woody's garage has been the staging area because my condo couldn't hold it all.

I went car shopping last week because 'somebody' insisted i couldn't take the bus during the swap. lol. So i looked at dozens of SUV's before deciding on a Subaru Outback wagon. It was my favorite car of the bunch, even more than the Jeep, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. I found that i hit my head on the ceiling of almost every SUV except for the Trooper and Range Rover. But i've already owned a Trooper and the Range Rover would've been worse than the Z on my wallet.

It's an old model, the 1998 Limited Anniversary Edition, but it has leather seats and dual sunroofs, good stereo and an alarm system. Hopefully it will be more reliable than the sports car for daily driving. The bumper sticker is coming off btw.
